HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR
Our Heavy Equipment Operator program is based on the premise that the graduate achieve industry certification on two or three pieces of equipment of their choosing from the Crawler Tractor, Grader, Haul Truck and Excavator. Additional choices of equipment may be offered, based on student requests and training job specifications.
Students also receive the accepted safety training for certificates required to enter into employment within this industry (including Ground Disturbance, H2S Alive, First Air/CPR, WHMIS and CSTS) and a solid knowledge of safety practices with respect to operation of the machines. They receive an excellent understanding of heavy equipment terminology, hands-on experience in servicing, maintaining and caring for the equipment, as well as experience in life skills and how they relate to this fast paced occupation.
Not only do they learn the skills required to be competent operators, they experience the long hours and the strenuous demands that come with 10+ hour days. Clients also have the opportunity to learn proper equipment loading and unloading techniques as well as load security and tie down regulations.
This program has everything it takes to successfully master the tasks and graduate as a qualified operator that is productive and dependable. Training/Certification on three (3) pieces of equipment
$22,400 plus GST
